About us
Hello! We’re Shelton and Brandi Koskie. We met in 1999 in college while working for Old Navy. Somewhere among the folded t-shirts and long hours unpacking shipment, co-workers became friends and friends became more. Eighteen months later we started dating and it didn’t take long to realize the cliché that “you just know when you’re in love”. Shelton proposed 15 months later and we've now been married for five years.
Shortly before graduating, we agreed to start trying to have a baby (I know, we’re nuts!). In December 2005, we decided this was taking far too long and went to see our doctor. A few tests later we began specialist hopping, where we learned we will not be able to conceive without the assistance of In Vitro Fertilization.
Still need more dirt?
Brandi works in advertising/marketing; Shelton works in the aircraft industry. Brandi is a proud alum of the University of Oklahoma. Shelton is fortunate enough to work for a company that is paying his way to return to school to complete his bachelor's degree.
We are both the oldest of three children. We’re very close to both of our families, so that makes for busy weekends. We recently became an aunt and uncle for the first time and think our little nephew is pretty much perfect!
Brandi loves to cook and turns down any and all help in the kitchen, Scrabble, scrapbooking, Harry Potter, macaroni & cheese, dragging Shelton through SuperTarget, Sooner football and Dave Matthews Band. Brandi hates mashed potatoes, things that aren’t closed after they’re opened, socks, humidity (curly hair ya’ll), reality TV and being dragged through CompUSA by Shelton.
Shelton loves computers, cars, spreadsheets, pizza, NPR, Brandi’s pigtails, road trips, coffee, Sunday mornings at Panera, spearmint, honeysuckle, Seattle and New Orleans.
Shelton hates romantic-comedies, public pools, homework, humidity, scrapbook store and dirty cars.
We’re both taking the slow route to learning how to golf. We enjoy movies, flip-flops (after all, we were married in them), our evening walk, ice cream, fighting over the Mac, Sunday night on ABC and big squishy down comforters.
